If you are a complete beginner, I recommend a nylon string guitar. Nylon string guitars are soft on the fingers compared to steel string guitars. You can get a good sound out of those guitars and they tend to have less tuning issues. Depending on you age and size, I would recommend to look into sizes or ask me. If you are playing rock, blues, funk I personally love the sounds of Fender Stratocasters. You can check out Telecasters or Les Paul’s, but this is simply taste. On the heavy metal or heavy rock spectrum, Ibanez or Jackson are good guitars. They are versatile and their brand is well known. I do not recommend getting cheap electric guitars due to their intonation (it is hard to play in tune and it gets frustrating).
